| The mission of Terri’s Pet Rescue and Refuge is to provide a safe haven and a forever home for unwanted, abandoned or surrendered animals. Terri’s Pet Rescue and Refuge is a 501(c) 3 organization. We house approximately 65 cats at the refuge. The organization offers 2 services. We rescue stray and unwanted cats and offer them for adoption once they are spayed/neutered and have been given their immunizations. Each adoption applicant is screened through a written questionnaire and through a verbal interview to ensure that the cat will be placed in a safe and loving environment. We also offer a trap and release program. This program traps feral cats, has them spayed/neutered, given rabies shots, and then releases them back to the wild. These are cats that are unable to be adopted or placed in a shelter because of their wild nature. Spaying and neutering these cats before they are released will help to control the population of feral cats in the future. ] We also have access to resources outside of the area that can offer assistance to those who have pets that need spayed/neutered. We also provide assistance with transporting animals for veterinary care for the disabled, elderly or sick as funds permit, we also provide financial assistance and food in case of an emergency. It is our mission to prove that every person that has a passion for animals can provide a perfect and forever home if given the resources and assistance. Our mission is to reach the goal of no more homeless animals. |
